Our back latch was again having trouble , we had it brought in roughly a year ago for the same issue. We dropped off the car and didn���t hear anything for 2 days. Once we did hear back they said it was something totally different and that it would cost $2000. I talked to my mechanic that has worked on our car outside of the dealership and he quoted me $84 for the replacement piece. Talked with the dealership again and then they informed us that they were NOT able to open the back rear door at all. It���s a Chevy Tahoe and it���s at a Chevy dealership? How can you not open the door? Dropped the car back off and they messed around for 2 more days and then all of sudden told us it is all working fine and dandy. Little did they know that we have an automatic start on the vehicle and we can see when and when the car is started. It sat for the majority of the time it was in their possession and only started/stopped a handful of times. At the conclusion, they tried having us pay close to $400 for apparently telling us everything was fine once we told them we are not paying for something ( $2000 ) for what they had dealt with and fixed roughly a year prior. Overall, horrible experience, horrible communication and or understanding. They totally tried to take advantage of my wife and our lack of knowledge of vehicle automotive work. WILL NOT BE BACK. Which sucks because we really trusted that the dealership would not try and rip us off.
