We’ll examine the 2022 Chevy Colorado trim levels to see what sets them apart.
2022 Chevrolet Colorado Trim Levels
Buyers can get the Chevrolet Colorado configured for every need, from a bare-bones work truck to a powerful off-road machine. The 2022 Colorado is available in extended-cab and crew-cab styles, with two cargo box sizes. According to the Liberty Lake Chevy dealer, there are four trim levels: Work Truck (WT), LT, Z71 and ZR2.
The 2022 Chevrolet Colorado is powered by a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 200 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque, connected to a six-speed automatic transmission. Most trim levels also have two available powerplants. A 3.6-liter V6 puts out 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque, paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. A turbocharged 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel engine is good for 181 hp and 369 lb-ft, coupled to a six-speed automatic. Most Colorado trims get rear-wheel drive standard and optional four-wheel drive.
2022 Chevrolet Colorado WT
The Colorado WT trim is offered with a crew cab or an extended cab with a long bed. Standard features include cloth upholstery, vinyl floor covering, a tilt-only steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, a rearview camera and Teen Driver. The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system is also standard. It features a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker audio system, and two USB ports.
Available equipment includes remote keyless entry, an EZ Lift tailgate, a remote locking tailgate, cruise control, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and OnStar.
2022 Chevrolet Colorado LT
The LT gets most of the WT’s options as standard features. Extended cabs can choose the four-cylinder engine or the V6. Crew cab models can get the V6 or the diesel engine. Additional standard features include a leather-wrapped tilt/telescoping steering wheel, keyless entry, cloth upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, an 8-inch touchscreen and two more USB ports.
Available features include heated front seats, automatic climate control, automatic emergency braking, and a Bose audio system with seven speakers. The LT and Z71 trims are eligible for a new dealer-installed Trail Boss package. It comes with a leveling kit with a 1.0-inch suspension lift, black 17-inch rims, skid plates, red tow hooks and black exterior badges.
2022 Chevrolet Colorado Z71
The off-road-oriented Z71 trim comes with most of the optional features of the LT trim. It adds all-terrain tires, hill descent control, recovery hooks, an off-road-tuned suspension, and a locking rear differential. The Z71 also gets automatic climate control, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, cloth and synthetic leather upholstery, remote start, rear parking sensors, voice recognition, HD Radio, and a wireless device charger.
2022 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2
The Colorado ZR-2 trim is ready for extreme off-road thrills.
