The Silverado has a familiar look, and there are a number of exterior styling packages that can transform the Chevy into something pretty special. The Chevy is available with eight impressive appearance packages that include the Z71 Off-Road, Midnight, and Custom Sport Edition packages and others that allow buyers to have a truck that’s configured for their preferences.

Although the crew cab versions of these two trucks seat up to six occupants, taller passengers will enjoy being in the front of the Silverado more than in the Ram, as the Silverado provides quite a bit more legroom. In the front of the Ram, you'll find just 40.93-inches of legroom, but there's a more generous 45.27-inches in the Silverado 3500HD. There's more headroom in the front of the Chevy for taller people too, even though the Ram is about the same height. The difference between the two isn’t as noticeable in the rear seats, but there’s still a little more room in the Chevy.

The entry-level Silverado 3500HD WT trim has a longer list of standard equipment than most of its rivals, including the Ram 3500. To be fair, the Ram does come close, but the Silverado WT includes standard power locks and windows, and a larger touchscreen infotainment system than you’ll find in the Ram 3500.

Ram has upped its game this year with the redesigned 3500, but when you compare it to the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD, you’ll find that the Silverado comes out ahead. The Silverado is more reliable, has more curb appeal, is more comfortable and provides a long list of standard features, even on the base WT trim.
