That difference puts the Silverado squarely in the lead, offering a maximum towing capacity of 12,500 pounds compared to the RAM 1500’s meager 10,620 lbs. Payload capacity is also in Chevy’s favor as the Silverado can haul up to 2,250 pounds compared to just 1,880 pounds for RAM’s truck.
