2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Overview
GM releases two versions of the Chevy Silverado 1500 for 2022. The 2022 Silverado 1500 is the new model, and there’s another variant called the 2022 Silverado 1500 LTD. What’s the difference? The automaker didn’t want buyers to be left out in the cold if supply chain issues interrupted the release of the new 2022 Silverado 1500. So it rebranded the 2021 Silverado 1500 as the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTD. Expect the LTD to continue to be available in showrooms of dealers like the Spokane Valley Chevrolet dealer until dealers have a good supply of new 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 models on hand.
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTD is available in eight trim levels: Work Truck, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, Trail Boss, LTZ and High Country. With three cab configurations and three bed sizes, there’s a Silverado 1500 LTD for every buyer. The folks at the Spokane Valley Chevy dealer explained that the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTD is perfect for buyers who want a full-size truck that’s adept at towing. It has a towing capacity of 13,000 pounds.
Buyers can choose one of four potent powerplants:
- 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 310 hp and 348 lb-ft, teamed to an eight-speed automatic transmission
- 5.3-liter V8 that makes 355 hp and 385 lb-ft, linked to an eight or 10-speed automatic
- 6.2-liter V8 that’s good for 420 hp and 460 lb-ft, coupled to a 10-speed automatic
- 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbodiesel engine that produces 277 hp and 460 lb-ft, paired to a 10-speed automatic
The base Silverado 1500 LTD Work Truck trim includes 17-inch steel wheels, power windows and door locks, vinyl upholstery, a 40/20/40 split-folding bench seat, air conditioning, rubber floor covering, a locking tailgate, a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker audio system and Bluetooth.
The Silverado 1500 LTD picks up more standard equipment as you climb the trim-level ladder. The range-topping High Country trim includes the 5.3-liter V8 engine, 20-inch wheels, high-intensity headlights, a spray-on bedliner, heated and ventilated front seats, a digital driver information display, a power-operated tailgate, chrome assist steps, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a navigation system, a seven-speaker Bose stereo system, and wireless phone charging.
The available towing camera system includes up to 15 different camera views, including the trailer connection, the sides of the truck, a view from the rear of the cab, a view of the rear of the trailer, a view from inside the trailer, and more. The system even has a view that lets the driver see through the trailer virtually.
An available Trailering Package comes with an automatic locking rear differential, a trailering hitch platform, a 2-inch receiver, a four-pin connector, and a seven-way harness with a seven-way sealed connector. The optional Max Trailering Package features specially tuned shocks and revised rear springs. Tow mirrors are available.
The Chevy Silverado 1500 LTD’s available Multi-Pro tailgate can be folded in six configurations, including a load stopper, a step, and even a work surface.
