2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer Trim Levels
Subcompact crossovers are hot, so we’re not surprised that Chevrolet adds a new model to its 2021 lineup. The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Those with long memories will remember the Trailblazer name as a midsize body-on-frame SUV that was sold in the United States from 2002 to 2009. The older model was spelled slightly differently, TrailBlazer vs. Trailblazer. We believe the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer will be a popular model at dealers like the Hayden Chevrolet dealership.
We’ll look at the different trim levels and see what each one offers to buyers.
Trim Levels
The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer comes in five different trim levels, L, LS, LT, Activ and RS. Buyers get a choice between two engines. The base engine is a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that generates 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, matched to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Buyers can upgrade to the 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that produces 155 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque. This powerplant is connected to a nine-speed automatic gearbox. According to the Chevrolet dealership in Hayden, the Trailblazer gets standard front-wheel drive and available all-wheel drive.
Trailblazer S
The base Trailblazer S trim is economically priced, with an MSRP under $20,000. The S comes with the base 1.2-liter engine and front-wheel drive. (All-wheel drive is unavailable on the S trim.) Standard features include 16-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, a 7.0-inch touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Trailblazer LS
The Trailblazer LS comes with the base engine and features 17-inch wheels. Buyers can get available all-wheel drive with the 1.3-liter three-cylinder engine.
Trailblazer LT
Step up to the Trailblazer LT trim, and you’ll get even more equipment. The LT comes with the base 1.2-liter engine and front-wheel drive. The 1.3-liter engine is available, with front- or all-wheel drive.
Trailblazer Activ
The Trailblazer Activ trim is the right choice for buyers whose idea of fun is crawling over rocks and fording streams off the beaten path. The Activ comes with the 1.3-liter powerplant and either front- or all-wheel drive. Standard features include exclusive 17-inch wheels, Hankook Dynapro AT2 Sport Terrain tires, specially tuned dampers, upgraded shocks, a dual exhaust system with trapezoidal tips, roof rails and a unique front fascia with more ground clearance.
Trailblazer RS
The top-line Trailblazer RS is the sportiest model in the Trailblazer lineup. The RS is powered by the 1.3-liter engine with standard front-wheel drive and available all-wheel drive. On the outside, the RS gets a sporty mesh grille, while the driver and passengers will appreciate the RS’s attractive red interior accents.
Whichever model you choose, you’ll get outstanding fuel-efficiency. The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer gets an EPA-estimated 28/31 mpg with the base 1.2-liter engine.* The Trailblazer returns 29/33 mpg with front-wheel drive and 26/30 mpg with all-wheel drive.
