2019 Chevrolet Cruze For Sale Near Spirit Lake
2019 Chevrolet Cruze
The second generation of the Chevrolet Cruze sedan debuted in 2016, and Chevy rolled out a hatchback version a year later. This year, the Cruze gets a midcycle refresh that brings new styling and some new features to the table. The folks at the Spirit Lake Chevrolet dealer tell us the 2019 Chevrolet Cruze is now better than ever, and they’re confident it will continue to be one of America’s best-selling compact cars.
Changes for 2019 include a new front bumper and grille. The grille is now bigger, with a beautifully styled curved structure. The new styling in the front reminds us of the changes on the 2019 Malibu. You’ll find mildly restyled headlights, taillights and wheel designs. The Premier trim gets LED taillights. The RS package, which is available on the upper trim levels, now includes simulated grille openings on both sides of the main grille, as well as black window surrounds, alloy wheels and badges. According to Chevrolet Spirit Lake, the Cruze gets more interior color choices. Additionally, the Cruze gets a standard 7-inch touchscreen.
Kelley Blue Book is excited by the 2019 Chevrolet Cruze, writing: “If you want a small sedan or hatchback with the image and comfortable ride quality of a larger car, the 2019 Chevrolet Cruze fits the bill. And if you want a new compact car with a diesel engine, it’s currently your only choice.”
The 2019 Chevrolet Cruze is offered in five trim levels: L, LS, LT, Diesel and Premier. The L trim is only available as a sedan. Powering all models other than the Diesel is a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine developing 153 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque, matched to a six-speed automatic gearbox. Under the hood of the Diesel trim is a 1.6-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine that puts out 137 hp and 240 lb.-ft. of torque, paired to a nine-speed automatic.
The Chevy Cruze is known for its outstanding fuel efficiency. EPA-estimated fuel economy with the 1.4-liter turbo four is 28 mpg city/38 mpg highway for all configurations other than the Premier hatchback, which gets 1 mpg less on the highway.* The 1.6-liter turbodiesel checks in with 31 mpg city/48 mpg highway for sedan models and 30 mpg city/45 mpg highway for hatchbacks.
Safety features that come standard include a rearview camera and Teen Driver. The Teen Driver system allows parents to limit the vehicle’s top speed and the volume of the audio system when younger drivers are behind the wheel. Teen Driver also provides a report that shows how the car was driven.
Optional safety features include blind spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning and a following distance indicator.
One of our favorite features is the Cruze’s updated infotainment system, which helps keep the driver and passengers connected. The infotainment system includes a 7-inch touchscreen with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
