The Colorado is available in extended cab or crew cab body styles. You can get extended cab models that seat two or four passengers, while the crew cab seats five. There are two bed sizes to choose from, as well as five trim levels, listed as Base, Work Truck (WT), LT, Z71 and ZR2. With rear-wheel drive, this engine is capable of towing a maximum of 7,700 pounds, a great showing for its class.
Standard features on the Base Colorado include a locking tailgate, the CornerStep rear bumper and cargo-box lighting. LT buyers get an 8-inch touchscreen, rear park assist, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and satellite radio. The ZR2 gets a host of off-road features, such as tow hooks, an off-road suspension package and skidplates.
The 2019 Chevrolet Colorado comes with safety features such as stability control, antilock disc brakes, traction control, side-impact airbags for the front seat, side curtain airbags, trailer sway control, a rearview camera and the Teen Driver system. Safety options include lane departure warning and forward collision alert.
